Come join us in person for a day of reflection and integration. This will be an opportunity to explore and to befriend what Psalm 139 names our inmost being.

In the morning, we will create a mandala using simple collage materials. This is an opportunity to explore our own Inner and Outer Selves. In the process, perhaps we will identify that which is desiring integration and wholeness.
In the afternoon, we will share an experience with fiber art using fabric, ribbon, yarn, and other embellishments. Here we will explore, and might ultimately, come to know ourselves as God has known us after all.
*No previous art experience is necessary. These art as prayer experiences are about entering into a process of creative expression for self-discovery.
COST: $50.00 for the day of reflection
Optional overnight lodging at St. Joseph Retreat Center, Wheeling, WV, is available for an additional $50.00 a night, if interested.

Facilitators: Mary Slattery, HM
Mary is an art therapist and counselor who has a heart for helping others to “discover their artist within.” Mary currently ministers with Humility of Mary Housing sites in Akron, Ohio where she shares the healing gift of art with clients and residents.
Carrie Vall, CSJ
Carrie is a board-certified art therapist who works with individuals and groups in a variety of settings. She is a co-director of the Women’s Outreach Center, in Cleveland, Ohio, which serves women who have experienced homelessness.
Fees for programs or retreats may be mailed to the address below. Fees for retreats include: lodging, meals, and direction. A $50.00 deposit (non refundable) is requested when registering for any retreat. Your cancelled check will serve as your receipt. St. Joseph Retreat Center reserves the right to cancel a program if necessary. Programs may be cancelled if fewer then the required number of participants are enrolled, or in case of unavailability of the presenter. Refunds will be made if the program is cancelled, or payment may be applied toward another program
