All for One and One for All: Kinship and Caring for Creation
Looking for a more wholesome way to “go green” this St. Patrick’s Day? Join us on Saturday, March 17 to learn about, reflect on, and celebrate our kinship with each other and all of creation! As St. Patrick wrote in his Confessions: “The love of God and his fear grew in me more and more, as did the faith… in a single day, I have said as many as a hundred prayers… I prayed in the woods and on the mountain, even before dawn. I felt no hurt from the snow or ice or rain.” Centered on Pope Francis’ encyclical, Laudato Si’, we’ll be talking about care for creation as it relates to food justice, families, energy efficiency, organizational culture, and caring for our bodies. Specifically, we’ll be asking: How do these topics relate to the idea of, and help us to live out, Pope Francis’ call to kinship with creation? Space is limited! Please RSVP online between January 15 and March 2 to reserve your spot. https://catholiccharitieswv.salsalabs. org/creationkinship
